Good nutritional therapy, managed by a qualified nutritional therapist, is all about identifying underlying health problems with a client. We would then work together to create a diet and lifestyle plan that is not only optimum, but also still fits into each person’s particular lifestyle.
I always take a detailed life history of every client I see, and look at lifestyle and environment. As we are all individual, each assessment will be unique. I will recommend laboratory testing, if I feel that would be beneficial to an accurate diagnosis. Any tests I recommend are totally science based, and are conducted by well-known laboratories such as Geneva diagnostics.
I might be looking at a number of different biological processes that are affecting your health. These could include –
- How your body digests, absorbs and eliminates food.
- How your body deals with toxins, and if there is a toxic overload.
- Regulation of hormones and neurotransmitters.
- Immune system function
- Inflammatory responses.
- Physical and psychological stress impacts.
- Bacteria, parasite or heavy metal overloads.
All of these processes are influenced by what we eat, how we eat, nutrient deficiencies, environment and genes. Nutritional therapy often works at a cellular level, giving your body the right nutrients it needs to heal.
All my clients will receive a personal report, menu plan, handouts, recipes and on going email support.
I see clients with many different health issues, and my special interests are Digestive Disorders and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
