I won Young Chef of the Year in 1978. For many years I was Head Chef in top hotel restaurants, positioning two of them into the Good Food Guide. I have since travelled extensively, taking a serious interest in food preparation in many countries.
This professional interest in food led me to want to better understand how good food affects our everyday health, and indeed how proper balanced nutrition can help us avoid illness and aid recovery from many common medical conditions.
After 4 years studying I received a Diploma with Credit from the leading Institute of Optimum Nutrition in London. I then built a successful practice in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, and in 2004 I moved to Cornwall.
I have now set up the Rowse Clinic in order that I may carry on my successful practice.
For 3 years I worked as a tutor at the Institute of Optimum Nutrition, have written for journals and web sites and appeared on television and radio. I also teach the basics of nutrition to other health professionals. I am registered with the NHS, and the Nuffield appointed Nutritionist for the South West region.
I firmly believe in continuous education and am constantly seeking ways to improve my knowledge.
